TC macro – Cadastral Vectors Comparison

This macro is used to calculate difference in bearing and distance between sets of vectors.

Cadastral vectors adopted from underlying surveys often differ from those measured in the field or sourced from Land XML cadastral database.  The comparison is made on final adjusted coordinates as a result of traverse adjustments.  Please note this macro is NOT using TSS entered bearings/distances nor XML attributes rather calculations are performed on the vector coordinates.  This enables comparisons of vectors pre/post disaster events or ground movement.  It is possible to compare unadjusted TSS/XML data by taking a copy of the traverse spreadsheet data with the Adjust checkbox unticked.  Labels are placed at the centre of each matched set of vectors and displays degrees or minutes or seconds of bearing difference and difference in horizontal distance in meters.

Results may be tabulated in a report for easier QA.
